Homes For Sale
Concord CDC's homeownership program consists of the new construction of and acquisition, rehabilitation and sale of vacant houses to low to moderate income families. To assure maximum neighborhood impact, we choose properties that are adjacent to projects completed by us previously. Our goal is to rehabilitate the houses to a high standard. Our rehabilitation efforts are balanced against our desire for the completed house to be affordable by a low to moderate income family.
Federal HOME funds close the gap between the development costs of the house and the family's ability to take advantage of one of the many affordable mortgage products available from lenders; including those offered through the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership (INHP). Concord CDC, in partnership with INHP, identifies and counsels the new homeowners.
Federal HOME funds are made available through the Department of Housing and Urban Development to the City of Indianapolis. Each year Concord CDC applies to the City of Indianapolis to utilize these HOME funds for its Homeownership program.
